What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to cultivate expanded and transformative states of awareness. It helps lift the veil of our conditioned way of understanding – which is filled with negative and limiting beliefs – and brings us to a place of radiant clarity. When the world is seen through a heightened and clarified lens, you're able to move from depression, anxiety, PTSD – and other forms of trauma – to a more grounded and peaceful place filled with truth and love.

What Brings Me Here

More than twenty years ago, I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. I took this as an opportunity to show up for myself on the physical plane as never before.

I explored new self-care and healing modalities and empowered myself to find many different options. Now, I have a large repertoire of gems, resources, and evidence-based tools that I’ve integrated into the psychospiritual work I created to support my clients’ transformation.

One of my foundational truths is that loving, spacious, and radiant awareness surrounds us, is in us, lifts us up and holds us compassionately, even when we’re not aware of it. This is our true ground of Being. By finding my truth, I’ve meaningfully transformed how I approach my life and the way I engage with clients.

For three decades now, my most influential teachers have included Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Adyashanti, John Prendergast, and Ramana Maharshi.

My Credentials

  • I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (License # MFC 43095).

  • I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). I chose this particular school because I wanted a psychotherapeutic education that integrated Western psychology with the spiritual dimensions of the Eastern wisdom traditions.

  • I’m a clinical member of both the San Francisco and East Bay branches of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

Approaches I’ve Created

As an outgrowth of my psychospiritual studies and experience, I've developed a therapeutic method I call Mindful Inquiry, in which my clients and I dissolve the stories of the mind to reveal the beauty and truth of the heart.

I have also expanded my sexuality expertise, and developed an approach to sex therapy and education I call Mindful Sexuality, which engages an awareness of the entire sexual experience.

With this expanded consciousness, we can enjoy greater choice about the many facets of our sexuality, transform wounding and shame, and experience the beauty and pleasure of true sexual embodiment.

To see the larger repertoire of tools, techniques, and approaches I use, check out my How I Work page.

All therapists are required to receive ongoing training. I continue to pursue both psychospiritual and evidence-based education above and beyond continuing education requirements. Doing so expands my therapeutic repertoire, and also supports my own spiritual path. To be truly present for each of my clients is a distinct and significant part of my spiritual practice.
